EDENTON, N.C. (AP) -- The Coast Guard and North Carolina officials are looking for a man who reportedly fell overboard from a boat in Albemarle Sound near Edenton.
A response boat from Coast Guard Station Elizabeth City and crews from the North Carolina Marine Patrol and the state wildlife department also were resuming the search Monday morning.
A motorist driving on the NC Highway 32 bridge told the Coast Guard late Sunday morning that they saw a person fall overboard from a 39-foot boat. Another person found the boat with just a dog aboard.
A Coast Guard helicopter also took part in the search Sunday, as did a Chowan County marine Police boat.
