RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- A South Carolina coroner says a 64-year-old Ridgeville man found dead near his home was shot three times in the head.
Dorchester County Coroner Christopher Nisbet says an autopsy Sunday reveals that Jimmy Edwards died from being shot three times in the back of the head. Nisbet says one of the gunshot wounds damaged his eye.
The Dorchester County Sheriff's Office are investigating the slaying that left Edwards dead outside his home Friday night.
Edwards' family says the man was on his way home when they heard two gun shots outside, then later walked outside to find him on the ground in the yard.
