GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Greenville County sheriff's deputies are investigating the deaths of a couple found in their home.
Authorities on Wednesday classified the deaths of 78-year-old Gary Wells and 77-year-old Helen Wells as homicides.
No arrests have been reported. Deputies have not released a motive in the deaths.
Sheriff's spokesman Jonathan Smith says deputies were called to the home late Wednesday morning after an acquaintance was unable to contact the couple.
Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis said there were visible signs of trauma on both bodies. But he would not elaborate on the cause of death. Ellis says he thinks the victims died Tuesday.
Deputies did say they don't think there is an immediate danger to the public.
