OXFORD, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities are looking for the person who shot and killed the owner of a Granville County convenience store.
Deputies say 49-year-old Musleh Mohamed Quayed was shot and killed at around 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Family Market in Oxford.
Investigators tell WTVD-TV that a gunman came in, shot Quayed and broke into the cash register. A customer found him dead, lying on the floor with a single gunshot wound.
Authorities are seeking information from anyone who might have seen something. Surveillance equipment at the store wasn't working at the time of the shooting.
