Durham Rescue Mission needs baby furniture

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- The Durham Rescue Mission needs cribs, portable play pens and twin beds for its shelter for mothers with children and families.
 
The shelter says it urgently needs five fixed side cribs that meet state regulations.

Also needed are crib mattresses, car seats and other baby furniture. The items can be taken to 507 E. Knox St. in Durham or the shelter can arrange to pick them up.  For more information, call the director of the women and children's division at 919-688-9641, ext. 5050.
 
The Durham Rescue Mission provides long-term shelter, counseling and vocational training to more than 300 men, women and children daily.
