GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Guilford County court records say the estranged wife of Greensboro Mayor Robbie Perkins wants a judge to hold him in contempt of court for failing to pay post-separation and child support.
The News & Record of Greensboro reports (http://bit.ly/Wbmtu7) the couple are separated and in the midst of a divorce. Carole Perkins claims her husband has not paid a portion of about $13,000 a month he owes her as stipulated in a February court order.
Robbie Perkins has been ordered to appear in court in April.
The motion filed March 6 says Robbie Perkins paid about $15,000 in February, but owes back child and spousal support.
Robbie Perkins is seeking a new trial, saying the required monthly support is more than he makes as a real estate manager and developer.
