COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A company called EcoDual Inc. plans to invest $13 million in a Beaufort County plant and create more than 300 jobs over five years.
The manufacturer of dual-fuel conversion systems announced its plans Thursday. The company is at a temporary facility in Beaufort but plans to build a permanent one within 18 months.
EcoDual's conversion systems allow heavy-duty diesel trucks to operate on up to 60 percent natural gas. The company says its systems enable truck fleet owners to reduce operating costs by using cleaner, U.S.-produced natural gas for fuel.
