JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- A Jacksonville woman has been charged in the death of her 10-month-old son.
Twenty-two--year-old Barbara A. Unser has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, child abuse and contributing to delinquency of juvenile.
Police say they are waiting on the results of tests by the medical examiner to determine how Alexander James Froland died.
Police had been called to the home last week for a baby that was not breathing and was unresponsive. A woman told dispatchers that her son had been in a bathtub.
Alexander was taken to Onslow Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead.
It was not clear if Unser has a lawyer.
