APEX, N.C. (AP) -- President Obama will visit a small business in Apex and speak at North Carolina State University in his latest trip to the state.
The White House said Monday that Obama will visit WestStar Precision in Apex on Wednesday, a stop that is closed to the public. He then will speak about his proposed American Jobs Act at NCSU's Reynolds Coliseum.
Tickets are available both to NCSU students and the general public for that event on a first-come, first-served basis.
Obama is traveling the country to promote the nearly $450 billion jobs plan, which was unveiled last week in a speech to Congress.
North Carolina, which Obama won in 2008, will likely be a hotly contested state in next year's presidential election.
