WENTWORTH, N.C. -- A Monroe man in court for harassment charges was arrested during the hearing for threatening a North Carolina judge, police say.
Jihad Abou Haidar, 39, was in a Rockingham County court Wednesday, accused of making harassing and threatening phone calls to Remington Arms location in August.
Haider was held in contempt of court during the hearing and taken to Rockingham County Jail. Police say he then threatened to kill the judge.
He’s been placed under a $1 million secured bond.
