GREENWOOD, S.C. (AP) -- One of two men arrested in connection with the sexual assault of three Lander University women last March has pleaded guilty to seven related charges.
The Greenwood Index-Journal reported (http://bitly.com/SrlOi8 ) Tuesday that 19-year-old Cameren Keaton Jones of Mauldin pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree burglary, three counts of kidnapping and three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Judge Frank Addy sentenced Jones to 23 years in prison on Monday.
Jones and another man, Bobby C. Henderson III, were accused of forcing their way into the dorm room of three female students on the night of March 21.
Authorities said the two men were wearing masks when they bound and sexually assaulted the women at gunpoint.
