CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- Viewers in South Carolina and beyond will be able to see the first head-to-head meeting between former Gov. Mark Sanford and Democrat Elizabeth Colbert (KOHL'-buhrt) Busch in their race for the state's 1st Congressional District seat.

South Carolina Educational Television and Charleston television station WCBD both said they will be streaming the Monday evening debate live on the Internet.

The candidates meet at The Citadel. The debate is sponsored by the Patch news service and the South Carolina Radio Network.

Their only other joint appearance now scheduled is a forum next Tuesday night sponsored by the Goose Creek NAACP.

Sanford, Colbert Busch and Green Party candidate Eugene Platt meet May 7 in a special election to fill the congressional seat left vacant by U.S. Sen. Tim Scott.
