HENDERSON, Ky. (AP) -- Services for a U.S. Army soldier killed in Afghanistan have been set for Monday with full military rites performed by the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Fort Bragg, N.C.
Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home director Jerel Schneider says Spc. David W. Taylor, 20, of Dixon, will be buried in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson
The Gleaner reported (http://bit.ly/HWhFkE ) that Sarah Whitledge Taylor of Poseyville, Ind., met her son's casket at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware last week. Taylor died in Afghanistan from injuries sustained in an accident at an ammunition supply point and that the incident was under investigation.
The visitation for Taylor's funeral will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and until the 1 p.m. service time on Tuesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home.
