NORMAN, N.C. – Two North Carolina men have been charged in an early morning murder in Richmond County.

Deputies arrived at the General Store at 3645 Highway 220 North around 12:20 a.m. Tuesday to find store owner Michael Levene Collins dead.

Alexander Ingram, 61, of Jackson Springs, North Carolina, and Henry Thomas Ingram, 50, of Candor, North Carolina were arrested and charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

It’s unclear how the 53-year-old Collins died.  His body will be transported to the medical examiner’s Chapel Hill office to determine cause of death.

A motive for the murder is unclear.
