JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. (AP) -- Charleston County deputies say a man wanted in the shooting death of a woman on Johns Island has turned himself in.
Investigators say 35-year-old Timothy Wright surrendered to a deputy around 1 a.m. Sunday, several hours after running away from officers who were trying to arrest him.
Authorities haven't released many details on the shooting that killed a woman on Johns Island around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies say Wright was taken to the hospital after turning himself in for treatment of injuries. They say those injuries weren't caused by police.
It wasn't known if Wright had an attorney.
