ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- A suspended Buncombe County school teacher has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Twenty-eight-year-old Tony Alan Henthorn of Asheville is charged with four counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Arrest warrants say Henthorn possessed material showing minors engaged in sexual activity.
School system spokeswoman Jan Blunt said Henthorn told school officials that a girl sent him cell phone photos in October. Blunt says Henthorn was a teacher at Community High School, but has not been teaching since he reported the images.
It was not clear if Henthorn has an attorney.
