BOONE, N.C. -- Two schools in Boone are closed after an issue with the town's water supply on Wednesday.

Watauga High School and Hardin Park Elementary dismissed students at 9 a.m. due to water problems with the Town of Boone water supply, according to school officials.

The after school program at Hardin Park will also be closed today.  The other schools in the district are not affected by this issue and will operate on a regular schedule, officials said.
