GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- The woman who found a Greenville couple stabbed to death has been accused of stealing from the couple.
Fifty-one-year-old Shirley Ann Rogers is accused of taking money from the couple before they were killed.
The Greenville County coroner's office says 78-year-old Gary Wells and 77-year-old Helen Wells were stabbed to death last week.
Rogers worked as a housekeeper for them. She is accused of using Helen Wells' credit card without permission weeks before the killings.
Rogers told WHNS-TV she would never have done anything to the couple who helped her so much over the last five years.
Rogers is not a suspect in the deaths.
Rogers and a neighbor found the victims dead in their home Oct. 3. She was arrested on the credit card fraud charges later that day.
