CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Charlotte man is accused of murdering his estranged wife at a dog kennel she owned.
Someone dropping off their dog at the kennel for the weekend found the woman at the kennel in Bostic on Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff Chris Francis says the victim was 58-year-old Theresa Hartley McCraw. Police quickly identified her husband, 60-year-old Michael Huette McGraw, as a person of interest.
According to the police report, detectives searched McGraw’s Charlotte home on Farthington Circle near South Boulevard and Tyvola Road and arrested him on a separate charge at the residence.
Later, he was charged with murder and is currently in custody of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
