MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (AP) -- A woman's body has been found floating in a pond in Mount Pleasant.
Police. Lt. Jennifer Backman says officers were called to the pond around 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Charleston County Deputy Coroner Scott Ramsey said the body appeared to have been in the water for some time.
Capt. Stan Gragg said the body was that of a middle-aged, white woman. Gragg says there were no obvious signs of trauma.
An autopsy is planned Thursday to determine the cause of death and hopefully identify the victim.
