ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Police in Asheville are looking into the discovery of a man's body at a recycling plant.
Authorities say workers at the American Recycling plant in Enka found the body in cardboard waste being separated Friday morning. Trucks bring recyclable materials from several counties to the plant for sorting.
Asheville police Sgt. Dave Romick said investigators are trying to get a positive identification on the man and notify his relatives. The body was to be taken to the state medical examiner's office in Chapel Hill.
Amy Rhinehart, the plant's office manager, said some workers were given the rest of the day off.
