SALISBURY, N.C. -- The FBI has taken new steps in the search for missing Rowan County girl Erica Parsons.

Agents updated story of the missing teen on their own Web site, again putting out a plea for information from the public.

The FBI also released a refreshed version of the missing person’s poster for Parsons. View the poster here.

A spokesman for the sheriff’s office says they have received more than 500 tips in the case, and they continue to pour in.

Sandy Parsons, Erica’s adoptive dad, stopped at the family’s Salisbury home Friday, loading a minivan full of boxes. He told NBC Charlotte the family is still living at the home, despite packing several loads in a U-Haul weeks ago.
