CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Several more witnesses took the stand Wednesday in the custody hearing of Casey and Sandy Parsons, including Casey's father James Stone.

He said that he could not speak about what happened in child custody court, but he did share that he did not want his daughter's two youngest children to be returned to them.

"No," Stone said after he testified. "I don't think they were bringing them up right. They weren't in school and they should have been in school."

Other relatives also left the courthouse choosing not to speak about the hearing, but each did say that their hope was for the two children to remain with relatives.

"It’s rough, it's rough. I just wish that it was over with." said a cousin.
