SALISBURY, N.C. -- The adoptive parents of missing Rowan County teenager Erica Parsons are due back in court for a custody hearing Monday.
Casey and Sandy Parsons had their custody rights taken away of their youngest kids after authorities discovered Erica's disappearance.
In August, DSS removed them from the home while investigating allegations of abuse.
The allegations were made after the parsons 20-year-old son reported Erica missing that same month.
Several family members told NBC Charlotte last month that they do not want the children returned to Casey and Sandy Parsons.
Casey's father James Stone said he did not want his daughter's two youngest children to be returned to them.
"No," Stone said after he testified on November 13th in another court hearing. "I don't think they were bringing them up right. They weren't in school and they should have been in school."
NBC Charlotte will have a crew at the courthouse covering today's hearing.
