CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Donut Dash helps to raise money for 24 Hours of Booty charity cycling event. During the non-sanctioned 4.8 mile run/walk, participants had the option of signing up either as a competitive or recreational runner.
All runners will run the first 2.26 miles. The competitive runners ate a dozen doughnuts, and then continued the final 2.54 miles to the finish.
The recreational runners had the option of eating as many or few doughnuts as they wanted. There was also the option to take the rest home to enjoy or elect, at the time of their registration, to donate their doughnuts to the cancer centers.
