MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Authorities are continuing to look for a
15-year-old North Carolina high school student who disappeared while
swimming in the ocean.
The teen was about chest-deep in water with his friends when a wave
swamped them on Saturday at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Police
Sergeant Phillip Cain says that's when the friends lost sight of him.
The Coast Guard searched for the boy over the weekend, and police are
monitoring the area he disappeared.
The student from Spring Creek High School in Seven Springs. He was part
of a school group visiting the beach for a band competition.
