BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — Supporters of electric vehicles will be holding a Plug-In Day in Burlington to raise awareness about the vehicles and announce new financing initiatives to support more of them in Vermont.
The event will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Church Street in front of City Hall.
Electric vehicles from several local dealers will be on display. Organizers say the vehicles are an affordable, safe and reliable option for many Vermonters.
The Vermont state treasurer, deputy public service board commissioner, mayor of Burlington and head of the Vermont Economic Development Authority are expected to be at a press conference at 11 a.m. to announce two new financing initiatives.
