FORT MILL, S.C. -- A Fort Mill woman came to NBC Charlotte for help after the LivingSocial deal she bought wasn't quite as advertised.
Michelle Perno has lots of pictures of her puppies. There's one of Gracie and Reesy in the bathtub, the one in their cage and the one that shows just how small they were.
“They're so cute but it’s not something I would hang on the wall,” she said, pointing out the pictures are blurry.
So the proud mom hired a real photographer, and got a great price thanks to a LivingSocial deal.
“You only get that time once so I wanted to have great photos of them,” she said.
Gracie and Reesy are not easy to wrangle but she says she thinks the photographer, Meredith Jones, got some good shots. Before she came to us Perno hadn't seen a single photo.
“She said she would edit them and have an email link to me in one week,” Reesy said.
One week turned into several and the two exchanged emails about the repeated delays.
“Every week I emailed her and got ‘I’m busy, I’ll work on them tonight.’”
But nothing happened—until we called and Jones admitted she had put Perno's pet pictures on the back burner because she hadn't paid much.
Just hours after NBC Charlotte got in touch with her, the photos of Reesy and Gracie were suddenly available for Perno to see.
“I can’t get those moments back when they were so small,” she said, grateful to finally have the pictures.
The Better Business Bureau says it's a good idea when buying a LivingSocial or Groupon deal or something similar to see how many other people have purchased deals. If there is a high number and it's a small business, that can mean it will take longer to get what you purchased.
