Don't miss tonight's elimination episode of The Voice, as the show is literally putting the contestants' fate into your hands.
NBC 's The Voice has teamed-up with Twitter and will launch a feature that will allow viewers to save their favorite from elimination if they're named to the bottom three.
Starting on Tuesday, November 12, once the bottom three contestants are announced, viewers will have five minutes to save their fave from elimination. All viewers will have to do is tweet the hashtag #VoiceSave plus the contestant's name.
The tweets will be tallied in real time, and one artist will be spared elimination by the Twitterverse. The lucky contestant will know their fate by the show's end.
"We are literally putting the power in the hands of our viewers, granting them a direct way to affect the fate of the artists competing during the live telecast," Paul Telegdy, president of alternative and late night programming at NBC Entertainment, told BroadcastingandCable.com. "This invaluable partnership with Twitter exemplifies our efforts to have social media play a huge part in the structure of the show."
Only viewers in the Eastern and Central time zones will have the ability to tweet and watch the live show. Viewers in the Pacific and Mountain time zones will need to keep an eye on @nbcthevoice on Twitter, as they will announce the eligible contestants as well as when to start tweeting your choice plus #VoiceSave.
