Boy hit by truck while riding bike

An 8-year-old boy was in serious condition Thursday night after being
struck by a truck while riding his bicycle.
The child was riding his bike just before 5 p.m. Thursday when he pulled
out of his driveway on Calloway Road in Lincoln County and was hit by
the pickup truck.
His injuries were serious enough that he had to be airlifted to
Carolinas Medical Center.
