Freon leak sends one to hospital

One person has been taken to the hospital after being exposed to Freon.
The incident happened at the Bloom grocery store located 6275 Wilson
Grove Road in Mint Hill.
The Charlotte Fire Department’s Hazmat team responded along with medic.
The store re-opened about an hour after the leak was noticed. Store
managers said a contract worker was working in the back of the store and
passed out. Bloom employees noticed the accident and alerted them.
That worker was transported to the hospital. No one else was hurt.
