Getting around the ACC Tournament

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The ACC Tournament is drawing huge crowds to Bobcats arena and getting around is becoming a bit of a challenge.

Construction and reserved spaces for Uptown workers make parking spots a commodity and light-rail is that much more attractive.

"It's always good to get in and get out,” said one basketball fan.  “It's quick."

"We came in and met all our friends at all the places along the way (of the light-rail),” another fan said.  “It was like one big tailgate coming in."

The arena is playing host to the ACC Tournament for the first time taking over from the old coliseum back in 2002.

A change in venue is bringing mixed reviews.  Some fans say the new arena is smaller so getting tickets is more difficult.  Fewer seats were given to each school playing in the tournament.

The ACC Tournament is expected to rake in between $15-20 million.
