D'Anthony Batiste

A Panthers player was arrested over the weekend for carrying a concealed weapon.

Police arrested guard D'Anthony Batiste, 24, Sunday around 12:35 a.m.

He was charged for a window tint violation and for carrying a concealed gun.

Batiste was a four year letterman from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and signed with the Panthers in 2006 as a free agent, according to the Panthers' Web site.

His bond was set at $2,300.
