ROCK HILL, S.C. -- Rock Hill police are looking for the triggerman
behind a fatal shooting at a car wash Sunday night.
Police identified the victim Monday as William Barber.
Barber was shot sometime after 11 p.m. at a car wash on Camden Avenue,
less than a block north of Winthrop University's campus in Rock Hill.
Police reports state Barber was shot once in the left shoulder. He
apparently then drove away from the scene.
Two Winthrop University students were outside enjoying the nice night
and saw Barber's car drive off the side of Ebenezer Avenue just a short
distance from the car wash.
The students ran to the car to help. They found Barber wounded and
unresponsive and called 911 for help.
Barber later died from his injuries. No arrests have been made at this
time.
