East Charlotte restaurant catches fire

Fire caused about $2500 in damage to an east Charlotte restaurant
Wednesday morning.
Charlotte firefighters responded to the Bayou Kitchen at the
intersection of East 7th Street and Caswell Road around 10:45 a.m.
An outdoor barbecue pit caught part of the roof on fire. Firefighters
had the fire under control in about 10 minutes. Despite the fire, the
restaurant was open for lunch.
