Motorcyclists on a track at TNT Motorsports Park.

RICHBURG, S.C. -- A man was injured in a crash at a motocross park in Chester County on Wednesday.

The TNT Motorsports Park is a paid, members-only motocross practice track.

An official at the park said the man was thrown over the handlebars of his bike while riding on the track.

As a precaution, the man was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center because of a suspected head injury.

The owner of TNT Motorsports Park said the man was conscious and alert after the crash.

Officials at the track originally reported that a child was injured, but the owner later identified the victim as a 42-year-old man.

TNT Motorsports Park is located off Great Falls Highway in Richburg.
