CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Country music star and Albemarle native Kellie Pickler performed to a huge crowd in Uptown on Friday night.

The free concert was part of Food Lion Speed Street, the festival that serves as a precursor to Sunday's Coca-Cola 600.

Hundreds packed the intersection of Trade and Tryon streets for Pickler's concert.
