Severe Weather Alert 4:38pm

There is a severe thunderstorm warning for Northern Cabarrus county and Rowan county until 5:15pm. These storms are moving NE at 33mph. They have the history of producing cloud to ground lightning, small hail and damaging winds.

Another powerful storm is in stretching between the North and South Carolina border. York County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 5:15 this evening. The storms are moving north at 18mph.

A flash flood warning is in place for Stanly County until 7:00pm.

Tonight, thunderstorms will continue with temperatures in the middle 70s.

Monday we will see some sunshine early with afternoon thunderstorms arriving late.
