CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Police say a driver was killed after his car was T-boned in west Charlotte.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday as David Jeremy Ridings, 37, was driving north on Sam Wilson Road in a 1994 Saturn sedan. Officers say a witness told them that the Saturn failed to stop for a red light at Wilkinson Boulevard. It was then struck by a 1999 Dodge Intrepid.

Ridings was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was treated and released from Presbyterian Hospital.
