A suspected cockfighting ring is busted in Gaston County. Police say they found 56 roosters and 37 hens inside a Gastonia home. Police arrested John Peeler Sr. Friday and say charges are pending. Investigators believe the roosters and hens were being used for fighting. Police also found marijuana and a stolen flat screen television in the house.

The United States Department of Agriculture is also investigating the case.
