MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- One person was killed in a collision between a car and a tractor-trailer in Iredell County on Thursday morning.

The collision happened on U.S. Highway 21, just south of Brawley School Road.

Mooresville police say the tractor-trailer was traveling north on Highway 21 when it struck the car, which was turning left onto the highway from Abberly Green Boulevard.

Ines Beatriz Garcia Rolzan of Mooresville died at the scene. The truck driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Mooresville police are investigating the crash.
