CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Panthers player is one of the victims in a carjacking that police say involved one of Charlotte's most wanted.

Investigators say Marcellus Morris stole from one of this year's first round draft picks –- Jeff Otah.

The Panthers' player's brother had actually borrowed the Cadillac Escalade and was carjacked in Uptown.

Charlotte’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, or VCAT, is looking for Morris.

"As he pulled into his apartment complex, he noticed two guys standing on the corner they approached him, one with a rifle, one with a pistol, pulled it on him, carjacked him, then robbed him," Officer Tim Slater said.

Police say they’ve identified 19-year-old Morris as one of the gunmen, and that he’s wanted for several other crimes as well – including robberies, a kidnapping, drug crimes, and resisting police.

This time police say Morris stole Otah's truck, some of his brother's expensive jewelry -- gold and diamonds -- and cash.

"I’m sure anyone who has two weapons pulled on them, you’re gonna be a little shaken a little nervous about that," said Slater.

Police believe Marcellus Morris could be in Northeast Charlotte in Hidden valley or in Cedars East where they say the Escalade was found dumped. If you have any information on where he is, call VCAT at 704-336-8228.
