Relatives file lawsuit after family member goes missing from care facility

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- The family of a woman whose been missing from her assisted living home for a month is now suing. Mouy Tang disappeared from the Unique Living Center in Lawndale, NC back in September. The lawsuit alleges Unique Living failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to prevent Tang from leaving the facility. The state has since shut the facility down. The family has actively searched for Tang and is offering a $15,000 reward. Now they are suing Unique Living and the state for not supervising her properly. The family of Mouy Tang is now seeking $10,000 for compensatory damages. Family members tell NewsChannel 36 they will also be filing a lawsuit against the state. Family members say there are no new leads in this case.
