CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Today will be windy and cool with temperatures in the mid 40’s and mostly cloudy skies.

There is Winter Weather Advisory in effect for the mountains until noon on Tuesday.  Rain will change over to snow in the mountains as the colder air filters in.  Expect to see several inches in the higher elevations by Tuesday morning.

High pressure settles into our area by Tuesday with daytime highs in the Charlotte area near 50 degrees.  Night time lows will be in the lower 30’s.

The next chance for rain will be on Thursday, with another blast of cold air by the weekend.
