As the economy churns in a downward spiral, the toll on homeowners can be seen nationwide and new numbers show the Palmetto state is suffering significantly from the trend. Newly released data shows delinquency and foreclosures are up dramatically in South Carolina.
An economic housing report states that nearly one in 10 homeowners are late on their mortgage payments or are dealing with foreclosure. The state is just under the national average which is 10 percent.
