Pedestrian struck in front of W. Charlotte school

Editor's Note: NBC Charlotte's original report of a CMS bus being involved in the incident was incorrect; the accident involved a passenger vehicle. We apologize for this error.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in west Charlotte Friday afternoon.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials say a pedestrian was struck in front of Phillip O. Berry High School after classes were dismissed.

CMS says no students were injured, and it's not yet clear if the pedestrian was seriously injured or transported to the hospital.

NBC Charlotte has a crew en route to the scene. Stay with for the latest.
