Good Samaritans pull passengers from crashed car, police say

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Good Samaritans came to the rescue Monday morning, pulling a person from a car that crashed into a tree in south Charlotte, police say.

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, officers responded to a reported crash at the intersection of Sharon Road and Sharon Acres Road around 6:30 a.m.

Police say that some bystanders were able to pull the passengers of the vehicle to safety after the collision. Authorities say the vehicle then caught fire. CMPD said the people inside the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
