CHARLOTTE, N.C. – It was an expensive cleanup Saturday morning after a vehicle flipped and crashed into nearly a dozen cars at an east Charlotte auto repair shop.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, officers responded to a crash at Willys Transmissions on Independence Boulevard around 2:20 a.m. According to CMPD, two people were inside the vehicle that flipped. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, police say.
According to the shop’s manager, eight vehicles were damaged, and three of them were likely totaled. Some of the vehicles were serviced and ready for customer pickup.
“It’s a hard time to call the customer and tell them their car’s not going to be ready for a while,” the manager said.
Police have not determined the cause of the accident.
