SYDNEY (AP) — A man who once worked for the Australian Federal Police has been arrested after police said they found more than 35,000 child pornography photos in his home.
Police said Friday that the man worked for the Australian Federal Police between 1986 and 1990, but would not say whether he was an officer. They have not released his name.
New South Wales state police said they also found 800 videos featuring child abuse, police uniforms and batons during the Thursday raid on the man's Sydney home.
He was charged with possessing and distributing child pornography, possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing ammunition without a license.
