CHARLOTTE, N.C. – NewsChannel 36 has learned the trial for Elisa Baker on drug charges won't be held next month.
Back in May a jury indicted Baker on seven counts of drug trafficking.
She is accused of selling pills in Catawba and Caldwell counties.
Her attorneys asked the judge to delay the trial so that they can have more time to prepare. The hearing will now take place on January 9, 2012.
In September, Baker admitted to killing her 10-year-old stepdaughter. She will spend between 14 and 18 years behind bars.
